It’s a matter of being kind
Love, compassion and empathy for others
should always be on your mind;
By doing so, joy and contentment you’ll find;
Through kindness, the world will truly bind.
LIGHT
The moment you find your light
Your head and heart will work in harmony and stop to fight;
To the universe,but most importantly to yourself,you’ll prove your might
What a moment it will be,to behold that wonderful sight;
Till then,in moments of doubt,hold onto yourself really tight
Have faith and always stand up for the right;
Remember the darkness will fade away with the night
Once again,as the sun rises,you’ll find your inner guiding light.

March 21st is observed as World Poetry Day and to mark this day,wrote a poem befitting the times we are currently in.May all the misery and pain end soon, and we all get another chance to live life that benefits not just the entire global community,but also our planet.Let’s try to stay positive and once again we shall all rise together.
Times may be rough
But you gotta act tough;
Put your faith in the almighty
Let’s all unite as one global society;
We are all together in this
Fighting through this situation
and in-between,trying to create small moments of bliss;
This too shall pass
Hopefully,by the end of it all
we’ll stop judging each other on the basis of caste, creed or class;
Hoping this misery and pain for all ends soon
May the universe grant us another chance at life as a boon.

For you the words were written
By your beauty, I was smitten
It was definitely the love bug
by which I was bitten;
The ink spilled itself onto the page
Framing lines on your beauty as I could gauge
Asking me to give them a writer’s stage;
But, it didn’t matter as you couldn’t read them
It was just another scribble from a writer’s pen
For till you don’t read my poems,they don’t become a gem.
OCEAN
My eyes see an ocean so wide
To cross it, I must challenge its never ending tide;
Along with someone,its waves I want to ride
Just want to explore its beauty and reach the other side.
With the nature’s rules, we shall abide
Whatever happens,we’ll take it in our stride;
Between us,there’s nothing to hide
To reach the shore, the ocean itself will guide.
DREAM
Dream a little more
Life’s beauty you must adore;
With yourself,keep a positive score
Your outlook on life will either make it fun or a bore
With people’s feelings,don’t be so sore;
Live life to the fullest and enjoy it to the core
You just have to dream a little more.
YOU ARE THE BEST
You are the best
Lay all your doubts and fears to rest;
Take a leap of faith
And fly away from your comfortable nest;
Remember to grow
You must push through the life test.
WORDS-WEAPON OF CHOICE
Her words became her weapon of choice
Cutting across all political, social and cultural noise;
Speaking truth to power with a subtle hint of poise
Some left wounded, but many did rejoice.
TRUST
They will break your trust
Leaving you handicapped till you rust;
Your strong bonds vanishing into dust
Bringing out your worst nightmares like gust;
Breaking your inner crust
But, remember,in dark times, faith is a must
Trust the universe to be fair and just.
BOOK OF LIFE
You are the author of your own book
Writing chapters of your life in a cozy little nook;
Your book of life should be your best-selling work
Never should you shy away from it and shirk;
The past chapters can’t be undone
For you to write, new chapters are a tonne;
Just remember to learn from your past writings
Imbibe from previous teachings and script history with love and lighting;
At the end of the day,
be proud to display your book at the book shelf;
Make sure it’s the one you keep reaching for,
to satisfy your soul and self ;
Bookmark the chapters you want to relive again
Skip the chapters which bring you pain;
There’s only wisdom for you to gain
Just remember, there’s sunshine waiting after rain;
Someday, you’ll leave your book behind,
for the world to read
Maybe, it can act as a guiding light,
for someone in need.
