As life sets into motion
Everyone around us has their own notions;
Amidst all the noise and commotion
Feed your soul and tap into your real emotions.
As life sets into motion
Everyone around us has their own notions;
Amidst all the noise and commotion
Feed your soul and tap into your real emotions.
For your love,I desperately waited
In the midst of it all,felt caged and gated;
You’ll be there for me,I always perceived
Your love and affection,I never received;
Still to save our relationship,gave you chance after chance
Thinking,maybe one day,we’ll be doing our happy dance;
But,I should have realized sooner,that you are not the one for me
In your absence,I’ve rediscovered myself and am left to be;
Remember,no longer my heart you can con
The person you’ve called has moved on.
Yesterday was a good day to rain
For it hid away my pain;
As the tears were camouflaged by the rain drops
The rain certainly acted as a nice prop.
Soaked in all its glory
Wishing there was someone
with whom I can share my story;
As expected,no one came
Which is truly a shame;
To some,it may all seem lame
But, I just wanted someone
to lovingly call my name.
If nothing else,the rain did wash away all my false hope
No one is there for you when you are walking a treacherous slope;
But still grateful that it did rain
As I certainly had something to gain.
Slowly, it started to clean my sorrows
Reiterated to my soul,that in need,love and care you can’t borrow;
Remember to just be there for yourself
After the rain, the sun will again shine tomorrow.
Some people are too keen to highlight
others’ imperfections and flaws
Always ready to attack with their open claws;
They drive sadistic pleasure by bringing them down
Project their own insecurities onto others to make them frown;
They seem to forget one thing which is fundamental
If you judge us,it’s all too easy for us to judge the judgemental;
But,unlike them,overlooking their own imperfections
having bruised egos and being full of themselves
Let us choose to be more kind,empathetic and love ourselves.
Imperfections are what make you
Don’t ever think they break you;
Your so-called flaws are what make you unique
Please never indulge in self-critique;
Flip your views regarding beauty
Pleasing others is not your moral duty.
Facing the mirror
All I can see
are my wrongs and errors;
Acting as more of a smoke screen
Perfections are hidden
and imperfections are seen.
Having earned all the riches and money
I had this epiphany;
It doesn’t matter how much is your pelf
What truly matters is how you love
others and your own true self;
Once you realize this,there’s no looking back
Rest assured,your life is on the right track.
